Planas - Merry Go Round (Ruckspin Remix)
What a track! Without a doubt must be one of the best dubstep, or shall i rather say chillstep, pieces I have ever heard in my entire life. Soft and chilling but dark and ruthless at the same time. Original comes from Planas' debut album called "The Long Game". For my taste Ruckspin did outstanding job remixing this one, making it sound way better than the original. By the time you're finishing reading this you probably have this beauty on a repeat.

Deadmau5 - Aural Psynapse (Mr FijiWiji Chillstep Remix)
Deadmau5 is dope himself, but Mr Fiji Wiji takes his track to the whole new level. So much power and sophisticated textures going on in this remix it just makes you want to keep this on a repeat forever. Brilliance!

Solitude - Ambient Dubstep Vol. 12
Tom Bond aka Solitude strikes with 12th episode of his hugely popular Ambient Dubstep Series and is sounding better than ever. Everyone who heard at least one mix of the series knows they stand on a really high level but with the newest episode Mr Bond proves what may appear as a ceiling for some is only a floor for him.
Containing tunes from names like Sorrow, Lex, Delete or stunning Stumbleine is, if you ask me, the best and the most chilling in the series. There is no point writing about the mix's technicalities, enough said is Solitude's mixes are always flawless and his material selection keeps me surprised and amazed with each individual mix.

Snobo - A Failure of Trust in the April Sun
Kinda unusual post for me, since I have never blogged about mixes other than my own, but this one, made by my good friend Snobo really caught my ear and heart. It's a great journey through deep broken beats with a lot of real instruments which is really important for me and really makes me wanna listen to such things. Listen to the mix and read below Snobo's personal comment about the origins of it and material included.

Ellie Goulding – Your Song (Matthew Spear Remix)
.jpg)
Ellie Goulding is a British singer with a debut album released last year, "Your Song" is one of the singles, being a bit soppy and sweet ballad. Matthew Spear is a young DJ and producer hailing from UK, reworking this song with a help of a killer bassline adding nice touch to the whole and creating a nice contrast for the original lyrics.
You can download it for free from Matthew's SC account.

Kähn feat. Jasmine - Altar
What is interesting, Kähn not only proves himself as a producer, but also tries his ways as a vocalist, occasionally singing and most of the time rather whispering lyrics in first two tracks, “Stop Me Dead” and “Miss You When I’m Drinking”, both suspended somewhere between dream and reality.
"Altar", the title track, featuring Jasmine's voice derives from Bristol's past in an obvious way. The first half of the track is led by carefully picked guitar chords, spatial cello and whispy, haunting voices. It feels like this track could stay this way till the end, but the beat suddenly drops and Jasmine's charming voice kicks in, improved with some echoes effects to create a chilling masterpiece.
If you're interested, you can download Kähn's Floetry remix for free here.
The Altar EP can be bought in every bigger mp3 store and also directly from label's Bandcamp page.

Silent Mind - Vortex (Halfstep Edit)

Amazing chillout track from Silent Mind, dubstep producer from Russia.
I really shouldn't say dubstep producer, cause judging by his SC page, he's interests and production skills transgress way beyond just one music style, but the common denominator for all of them is their warmth, ear-pleasureness and great composiotion.
That's about the man behind it, so what about the track itself? I would most likely describe it as a dark chillout - combining elements of classic chillout style, dubstep and IDM with some very interesting sound layering and obscure, melancholic vocals, which, if you ask me, resemble Apparat's "Komponent", especially those from Telefon Tel Aviv's remix (at least that was my first association after listening to this track). Nevertheless, that's really not important, what's important is that this is a great chillout track, ideal for grey and indifferent evenings, just like those we're having right now (at least here in Europe).

Phaeleh ft. Soundmouse - Afterglow

I have first came across Phaeleh's music while listening to his outstanding Afterglo 0.01 mix, which features tracks taken from his highly anticipated debut album "Fallen Light" coming out 25th this month on Chemical Records. From the first moments of the mix you just know there is a seriously talented producer behind it and while it progresses just strengthens you in that conviction.
